It's important to verify that your workstation meets the minimum requirements for DocFusion Template Designer or Workbench so that the applications install and run properly. This guide helps you to do so.
Step 1: Verify your version of Windows OS
Currently, DocFusion only supports the Windows operating system (OS). Installation files are available for both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows, and this step is necessary to determine which is appropriate for your workstation.
Open the System Information utility app included with Windows. Find it easily by searching for it using the Windows taskbar. The app window opens with a list of current system configurations.
In the list, find the attributes named OS Name and System Type in the System Summary pane. They indicate the version of Windows that you have installed and the system architecture. Now, use the table below to verify that your version of Windows is supported by DocFusion, and that an installer file is available for your system architecture.
Supported Versions of Microsoft Windows OS | 64 Bit | 32 Bit |
---|---|---|
Windows 11 | ||
Windows 10 | ||
Windows 8 | ||
Windows 7 | ||
Windows Vista | ||
Windows XP with Service Pack 2 or later |
Step 2: Verify minimum hardware requirements
Scan the System Information for the Processor and Installed RAM attributes. DocFusion will run more smoothly on your machine with better hardware, though these minimum requirements are sufficient:
- A 1.5 GHz processor,
- 512 MB RAM,
- 4 GB Hard-disk space.
If you don't see your storage device listed in the default System Information window, use the tree in the left pane to navigate to Components > Storage > Drives. Now find the attribute Free Space in the right pane.
