Planning Batch configuration & Batch Types

  • PDF

Article Summary

Batch Types are created via API and define the batch records within a batch. Typically, Batch Types are created and configured only once, as a setup step for implementing enterprise batching functionality. Thereafter Batch Types are assigned when creating batches to determine their handling.

The configuration of Batch Types defines a DocFusion template and its data schema to validate batch record payloads before processing. The configuration also contains settings for the output of batch processing, error handling, timeouts etc. which determine how to handle the batch.

View configuration settings for Batch Types in the API document.

Before inserting and configuring Batch Types, it is important to analyze the data model for the DocFusion template that will be used to process records in a batch and verify that it generates correctly. You can test a template using the template previewing functionality in DocFusion Template Designer.
